Dude that setup is so *** clean! [emoji108][emoji106][emoji106]

I coincidentally bought that same hinge switch for the exact same purpose! They sent me a bag of 30 for 6 bucks! Are you happy with the switch? I haven't installed yet I'm not sure how well itll hold up it seems pretty fragile.

Yeah, I got 15 of them for 7 bucks from Amazon. They're a whole lot smaller than I thought they'd be but seem to be well made though. Only time will tell I guess.

I reckoned I'll have 14 more as a back up if this one goes bad. :lhmo:

Haha,

I thought the same thing about the size. It took me a little bit to even recognize what the hell they were! I'll have to give them a shot. I have 2 more rock lights to use under the seat. I need to figure out my seat hinges. The lazy life seats have a trim piece that runs around the bottom edge and it causes the hinge to pop out of the slot when you lift it up.

Awesome build man can't wait to see the end result with the 4 link.

New to the forum. Wish I had found this sooner. I have built a 14 cell pack and am ready to install it. was going to use a cheap 40.00 bms i found on ebay to balance the cells and use the output wire to control a relay that allows the bms to disconnect the pack if need be. however the zeva seems like a much better option. i cant find a us distributor for it. can anyone point me in the right direction?

There are no US distributors; everything is out of Australia. You'll have to contact Ian directly and he is very quick to reply back to emails. Keep in mind they're 12 hrs ahead of us.

Tell him you're using a 14 module setup and what his recommendations are for you. I haven't seen anyone run a zeva set up with 14 modules yet but would assume you'd have to get 2 of the BMS16 modules connected with a EVMS that communicates with the display via canbus. This will be interesting to see if you decide to go that route.

Be sure to start a build thread so we can follow along and help if need be.

There are folks here using it with 14 modules, You wire the BMS exactly the same as You do with 7 modules.

The only difference is that each BMS shunt will handle 4 cells in parallel instead of 2 cells in parallel of the 7 module setup, which means the BMS ability to shunt is reduced.

Are those aluminum bus bars? if so make sure you have something like NO-OX-ID A-Special Electrical Grade between the bar and the copper bases of the modules.
