Default BMS amps for hunting cart

So, in looking at various BMS, many have an amp rating. What do you think you need for a hunting cart? I have an FSIP 700amp controller and custom Plum quick torque motor. I don't use 700amps obviously, but I don't want the BMS to be limiting what the controller receives. I'd rather just use the controller to control what the motor receives.

Thanks.

The motor only receives the amount of amps the batteries can provide it. Saying that, my ZEVA hasn't stopped my cart one bit IMO. The biggest amp draw I've seen, and it was only for a split second, was 435amps.

Creeping through the woods over down trees and mud holes, I see, at the most, is around 90amps.

Most cheap BMSes not meant for large EVs use MOSFETs for switching, thus having an actual current rating. BMSes that are meant for larger vehicles use contactors for controlling the load and/or charger, and are only limited by the current rating of those contactors. Zeva, Orion and some others are the usual candidates for "serious" choices.

Similar to NCWP, the most amps I've seen my 48V hunting cart draw is almost 400. That being said I did change the maximum amp draw on my Alltrax controller (reduced to 75% of 650amps....so the max amps is now 488.).
