Default Elcon Charger order not here - 8/1/19

I ordered the Elcon on-board charger for my Leaf pack on 6/27/19 and I'm still waiting for it. Has it taken more then a month to deliver for others using the Elcon?

I ordered right from the Evcomponents website.

Evcomponents is a China company. Your charger is being shipped from China. As such, it's subject to the search stuff at the dock. Plus with the latest tariff stuff....I dunno how that slows down the process.

I bot mine from EV. Then, because of lack of communication on my part, the charger came hard-wired. I don't think EV has the expertise to change it to Can BUS communications. I then shipped it to California to change to Can BUS....for like another $80. Live 'n learn.

Finally received my elcon charger, took about 6 weeks.

I have a wiring question for others using this charger...what gauge wire are you using for the input and output plugs?

I'm hoping to use a 220v outlet in my garage when I upgrade to a 14 module pack, but for now I'll just use a regular 120v outlet.

Will 10 awg input and 10 awg output wiring work for either a 120v or 220v source? Im not sure what those tin input plugs are designed for, looks like smaller guage wire then what I was expecting.

Thanks.

10 awg is good up to 30amps. Even on 220v the charger will only put out 25amps if I remember right. I used 12 awg on mine.

Thanks guys. Since I'm upgrading all my other power wire, I might as well use 10.

The side trips to West Marine for misc. electrical items are really blowing my budget($9.00 for 2 heat shrink tubes?)!

Correction, three, 3" heatshrink pieces for 10 awg wire was $5.99.

Is there any special operating instructions for the Elcon? I plugged it in for the first time today and it doesnt look like its alive. I didnt connect the CAN bus the from Zeva yet, would that keep it from turning on?

Thanks.
