Default Zeva BMS16 12v power lost

Recently my BMS16 lost 12v power. It started acting kinda funny the monitor would beep randomly like it does when you turn on the system. It did this for a few days and then quickly the problem worsened and the screen quit working altogether.

I've gone back a fourth with Ian about what to do and he's provided me with some troubleshooting steps to figure out which component has failed. I plan on fixing the unit myself because the components are so cheap and shipping to AU is so expensive.

These components searched by the part number below can be found at www.mouser.com

Circled in green
The DC to DC 12v converter
v7812w-500R
$11

Circled in yellow
Polyfuse
0ZCJ0035AF2E
$.17

Circled in red
Transistor
PMBT4403,235
$.12

I will update this as I work through the troubleshooting and repair of the board.

Same here. Let us know. So far everything on my build has been amazing. Other than a local cop being a jerk for taking my 9 year old to school.

My big fear is a lithium failure, so keep is posted. [emoji51]

I am also following the post. If you can, could you post exactly what each component does? ....Well...the 12V reducer is self explanatory.

Polyfuse is the little green resetting fuse its acts as a circuit breaker. If the circuit was to short it opens when the short is removed it resets or closes.

Transistor is basically a relay/switch. It allows another device to turn the 12v circuit on and off.
