Default SR48500 Alltrax introduction thread

New here at Scottyb's Carts Unlimited is Alltrax's new line of series controls.

We are excited to be introducing the SRX series control. This is a new generation of smaller feature packed controls, following in the footsteps of the XCT sepex control last year.

It is the same shape and size as the XCT. It has many of the same easy to use program features & the same fan option (included on 500 amp & up units)

With selectable throttle inputs this control fits any and all series carts.

This control will install in a 1999 Ezgo TXT. The test cart is stock with a SW182 reversing contactor kit and cargo box. Light ranch use in mild terrain.
Obviously the 400 would be a good fit for this cart with it's peak output of 460 amps but, we will install a D&D motor for this cart a little later. So the 500 (570 peak) is a better fit.

Well......hurry up. I haven't even unpacked my new SPM-48500 yet, so I may have to sell it before I bother taking it out of your packaging.

Alltrax promised us April deliveries... We never expected as much since the XCT was over a year late on the release date.

Do you just have a 'For testing' unit, or actual units available for sale?

I have stock for sale in 400 and 500 amps
Testing is something I do on my own so I can give the customer the benefit of real life testing - not just specs and stats

Guess I have to go write a 'For Sale' add..........

Of your package #485, which parts will still be needed with the SR48500? Just the solenoid? Or does it still use the diode and resister?

The SR48500 would use the same 400 solenoid, 470Ω resistor, and 3a diode.

Okay the test bed - a 99 stock ranch cart used for general chores and weed spraying. The Crown CR225s are 3 yrs old. The reversing contactor is a cartsunlimited kit.

MORE SR INFO :

Update from Alltrax...For the most part it is just a repackaged SPM, the software is basically the same. The SRs also have that extra connection. Notice the Green connection marked USER. In the future you will be able to plug in a control box we’re finishing up. It will allow you to adjust acceleration/top speed on the fly similar to the BLANK or BLANK control that has the same features (I can’t remember which one has it – the ugly green one that doesn’t work very well). I believe when the control box is done the software will be updated to include user profiles in the SR controllers as well. The only thing you’re losing with the SR over the SPM is I don’t believe any SRs will have the EZ connection. (edited version)
