Remembrance Day in Canada
Lest we forget ...
Lest we forget.jpg Remembrance Day is a day to remember and thank the men and women who have served our country during times of war and peace. The symbol of the red poppy is often accompanied by the phrase “Lest We forget.” A famous philosopher once said that those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. What we learn from poignant moments – no matter how powerful at the time – are soon forgotten unless we have some sort of plan to remember. So, for our nation, we set aside November 11 to remember those who gave their lives in war so Canada could continue its legacy of the true North strong and free. RemembranceDay_2018.jpg |
