Yes...hats off to all our veterans. Many have paid the price for our freedom and will never be forgotten. For those still serving...we salute you.

Re: Thank You all Vets for your Service
All gave some, Some gae all. Never such truer words have come together to make a statement. I would like to thanks all vets for thier service and devotion to our country and way of life. I too have my flag flying, everyday. I would also like to share a story that my wife wrote.
By: Eve Price Yesterday I saw a brief and shining moment of our country. The Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra performed a concert of patriotic songs to honor the veterans at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium. The building, dedicated in 1922, was the perfect setting for the event. The hall was filled with veterans and their families. A few speakers and the conductor regularly dedicated the songs and the moments to the veter-ans in the room, had them stand on more than a few occasions, and thanked them publicly while the audience applauded loudly and for long periods of time. As the brass horns and strings and others played the Star Spangled Banner, my tears were joined by other’s tears, flowing all around me. And there, united in our patriotism, I physically felt the images of our America, come flooding into my soul as I have not felt them in a long, long time. America, with her unique ability to inspire loyalty and devotion among her patrons, has begun to vanish before our eyes. Freedom, our most cherished possession, has been attacked and nearly destroyed by the vicious criminals in the white house. But yesterday, there amongst the soldiers and veterans who stood proudly and in perfect stance , despite the weariness of their faces and lives, I seemed to be transported. Back to the Main Street USA July 4th parades, to the serious duty of casting my vote in an election that wasn’t always a stolen one, and to the determination and recognition that, We The People, will somehow defeat this abandonment by our elected officials. America, land of the free, hold on! For we, the people, have not abandoned you, and we will not go silently into the night, and WE ARE COMING! As our ancestors did what was needed to create the haven that you have been until recently; so will We The People, carry you forward, knowing that you are the hope and sanity of the world. And that you America, whom we mourn for now, will once again rise like the phoenix and be the beloved home, land of our fathers, and home of the brave. |
