Default Need advice, angle of engine mounting with 6" lift

Hey guys, any advice you can give is appreciated. I'm in the middle of my G16 build with a Vanguard 16hp. I've got a Jakes 6" lift installed and I'm worried about the angle of the motor now that the engine cradle is dropped for the lift. The Vanguard doesn't sit anywhere near level and was wondering if this is going to be a problem for the carb? Using the factory Yamaha engine mounts since the Vanny bolted right to them. Should be the same for any G16-22 so looking for input. Thanks!

The engine needs to be pretty level. Being at too much of an angle would effect not only the fuel level but also the oil level.

You may want to do as I'm working on with my cart. Drop the front of the swing arm a bit to get the engine mount more back to level.

Thanks for the input guys! Hmmm... got me thinking.. Either drop the front of the swingarm and make a new mount or might try shimming the rear of the motor and get it closer to level... I'll have to mess with it tonight and report back.

Yes just be aware of the vertical clearance needed with any aircleaner and the seat. Don't ask how I know this can be a problem

I might add that this comes into play with your rear suspension movement.
I dropped the front of the swing arm to give 4-5" of clearance so I could use the range off motion of the rear shocks.....which is particularly needed if ya plan on doing some nice off-roading.
