Default new cart want some more speed.. Honda gx670

Hi there picked up a new to me lifted cart with a honda gx670. Runs great but I need a bit more speed. I am getting a solid 10mph on it right now. The person I bought it from said that it was set to 10mph but I should be able to get a bit more for it with some adjustments.

I'm hoping there are some simple adjustments I can make to get it to 15-20 so I don't slow down all the traffic in my neighborhood.

Here are a couple pictures of the engine set up and I'm happy to take some more. Maybe a simple adjust to the governor? I'm a newbie so some simple complete step by step would be appreciated..

I have the same engine and get about 30, you can remove the governor, but its more likely a clutch / gearing issue slowing you down. I'm not too familiar with the club cars, but on the ezgo you can adjust the driven clutch spring setting..

It's an ezgo where would I find the the clutch spring? On the governor would I just take the spring off?

Moved to Big Block talk, and courtesy bump!

There's one thing I don't understand though...
Why would anyone go through the work to put a V-twin in a cart,
and only have the max speed set at around 10 mph?

I found this sheet that looks like a good way to adjust the governor but for the life of me I can't figure out the governor arm nut. Based on the picture it looks like it is point to the screw that attaches my throttle cable.. That can't be right.

Just my 2 cents....I too have same motor, same cart, same front lift...
I get 30+mph with the governor connected at max 3600rpm.
I have to believe your issue has something to do with the clutches....

30+ now that is what I am talking about.. May need a slow gear for my kids..

What can I do to identify if I have a clutch issue?

I don't have a tach so it's hard to know what rpms I am getting at full throttle but it doesn't sounds like it's go very high..
