Best Mods for 23 h.p Vanguard

I have a stock 23 h.p. vanguard with a 780 clutch on it.
What are the best mods to do, to gain some good power?

Is yours all stock?

1. Remove governor
2. Rev kit w/ billet pushrods
3. H.P. cam
4. Port/Polish heads
5. Shave heads .025"-.050"
6. Bigger carb
7. Bigger exhaust than stock

I did 1,2,3,& 7,I went from a 16 with 23 cam,rev kit, headers, & reworked 18hp carb to a 23.The difference was great,all I need for off roading & fairly simple to do

Just spent a bunch of $$$ on stainless exhaust, wish I would have thought of bigger exhaust earlier, I used 1" for most of it to 1 1/4 at the end.

Are you looking for top speed, or low-end power?

Really what I need is more low end power. But a little bit of top end speed would not hurt when you want to let her loose a bit.

We use our cart for pulling the race car around at the race track.
But when we are not hooked up to the car, kind of fun to let her rip!

Any Ideas on what would work best?????

Which Cheetah cam are you looking at?
Is the governor still connected?

Right now the gov. is still connected. Getting ready to pull it out.
I think it was the Cheetah 310??? Not 100% sure if that was right.
Just remember he told me it was Cheetah.
