Default small exhaust reducers?

Ill soon be building my exhaust for my briggs install. The stock header has a 1" Od. Thinking of running a 1" flexpipe from the header to a supertrapp or other muffler. Most of them have a 2" id. So do they make any small reducers that go down to 1"? Anyone have any other ideas if they dont? Also would I be better off goin to 2" flexpipe from the headers to the muffler for more flow or would it matter with such a small motor?

I know you can get those size reducers in copper piping, such as those used in plumbing applications (solder type). Now, whether or not you could use them for an exhaust, i'm not 100% sure??

I know they could handle the heat. They might be on the "pricey" side though.
Also, they won't rust.

But you cant weld copper. And solder would melt and not sure if it would stick to steel

Ya. I hear you. I'm not a welder. Normal tin/lead solders have melting points between 360-460 degrees F.
You can use a "silver" solder to braze together ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as alloys. It has a melting point around 1300 degrees F.

But in any case, still may be cost prohibitive.

Isn't EMT galvanized? If so, better grind all the galv off before you weld....could kill you. Just sayin.

I've welded a ton of emt. Make sure you strip off what you can and definitely weld in a well ventilated area. Smells terrible.
