Default new gears

I just ordered new 8;1 gears from carts plus for my 2003 club car ds with the carts plus 23hp big block Briggs installed. Any tips or tricks to help make the gear install go easier?? All help is appreciated.

I just did 6:1 in my precedent. no tricks really. its pretty simple. need a hyd press and bearing separator to remove the bearings on the pinion (small) gear and replace them on the new one. pretty simple and straight forward once youre into it. go slow, take your time. enjoy the build

on a side note, 8:1 scares me, my 18 vanguard and 6:1 will push 40mph. you should have a rocket!

8:1 is a lower (slower) gear ratio than 6:1. More torque, less speed. Stock is 12:1.

errr... my bad. I cant even remember the parts I put in mine I guess. I did 8:1. even though I suffer from old timers (and im only 40) I do remember the swap was not hard to do and pretty straight forward once into it. I even added the BU limited slip kit and still went easy. I blame the beers
