Looking for the correct big engine
Hey all, I am new here and am in the process of building an off road cart capable of hanging with the rhinos. I have an ez ho (my bad ez go) with all the long travel suspension complete, front and back. I have roll bar and everything except an engine. I was thinking the honda 24hp engine might work but then I saw the briggs and stratton 31hpengine. Since I am new to this, please give me your opinions and also where the best deals on these engines are. Please keep in mind this cart is for the wife most of the time, but I know I am gonna get in it and tear it up so I want both reliability and performance.
Thanks |

Re: Looking for the correct big engine
I would suggest getting a used one. they are pretty expensive. I'd check craigslist.

Check with the sponsors.
Carts Parts Plus has some great big block kits that come with everything you need. They can upgrade the 24 HP that will probable do more than the 31. |

Been looking into it quite a bit, in the same boat you are. Save yourself a bunch of time and money and buy one already done! I have a line on a Honda 24 hp, but hesitant to get it. I mainly would use it at the dunes, and from what I've learned, nothing can hang with the Briggs! Well unless you go R1 or somethin crazy!

Go big and get the 60 Hp for $5000.00! I would, but my broker said it wasn't a good idea, unless I wanted to be broker!
