Default Rev Kit

How is everyone holding the valves up when installing the shims?? I have tried a piece of wire through the plug hole, is it easier to just pull the heads?? if so can you reuse the head gasket?

I use a compression tester screw in hose attatched to a air compressor hose. Watch out, the engine will turn itself over when air is applied! I would not recomend reuseing head gaskets. Good luck

Another way is to feed rope into spark plug hole.

Clothesline works good. Bring the piston up to almost TDC...... then feed the rope in and when it won't take anymore push the piston up the rest of the way.

I put my HD springs on just put it at TDC, took a thin something between the spring and held against the stem and put the locks on. Took a few tries to not hit the valve with the lock and slide it down. If you fail valve hits the piston you pull it back up. Don't remember if I used a screwdriver or thin steel to stick in there, or some kind of wrench.
