Default Honda GVX620 question

I've got a question about this engine off my hustler mower. (vertical shaft)

It's been dumping oil out when parked... I can fill it up, and run it, and it doesn't leak out till I turn it off.

Anyway, I pulled it out to put a seal in the bottom case, and I noticed a fair bit of endplay in the crank. Does anyone know where I can find the spec for this?

In looking at the parts diagram, I see a thrust washer, that I suspect may be worn.

If the play turns out normal, it looks like one my be able to replace the seal without splitting the case.... Anyone have experience with this??

Thanks!

Edit--- GXV620, not GVX

.002-.008 I believe.
Seal can be replaced without splitting, but you likely need to address the end play inside.

Thanks GDFP! I talked to a shop in town today and he said .004 to maybe .020, but he wasn't sure

I borrowed a dial indicator from a buddy, so I'll try to get it measured tonight

Well, I measured it and it's right at .020... thought I was at the outside of tolerance

Then, I found a service manual online here

It says axial clearance (end play) should be .005 to .026

It's good
