Default Kohler 14hp single

Has anyone swapped in one of these?

Looking to repower my old marathon...

Got a lead on a smokin' deal on a new one and was curious if anyone had experience with them..

Thanks!

It looks very similar to a Honda GX390 or clone. If it's a 1" crank and electric start it should work very well! Oh and it has to be CCW rotation.

Well it's on the way. $200! Brand new w/10 amp charging system

Now for a clutch. Probably gonna get a new comet 780...are there different variations?
Is the 302405A the right one?

Not sure on the 780, some say it's the same no matter where you get it from, some say it's tuned for big blocks. I got mine from CPP, very happy with their service, very quick. Also Vegas Carts has them.

Not sure if this would be a 'Big Block', or a 'Clone'... It's not really a clone since it's actually a Kohler...

It's 429cc, so I'll just call it the 429
