Jakes big block kit. wiring issue
I just installed a jake big block conversion kit in my EZ Go cart but I have no spark so the motor will not start. there is one wire a black one with a gold ring connector on it coming out of the harness that I'm not sure where it goes also when the key is turned on I can hear the fuel solenoid click and the engine will turn over but it will not fire its like there is no juice getting through the key the hour meter does not come on either when the key is turned on so I'm thinking there must be a wire not in the right place or not connected anyone have any ideas Thanks

Re: Jakes big block kit. wiring issue
just above the starter closer to the shaft side their will be a small threaded nut with a wire connected either with a ring terminal or spade connector , thats the coil kill wire , you need to disconnect it and see if it starts , then you will need to trace where that wire is going and how it is connected

Got it! It was indeed a ground wire and the keyswitch assembly also had to be grounded to get this to fire.
