Question Air filter box

I'm wanting a Remote canister air filter box for my V Twin to hook up a cold air snorkle to it and get the intake air out from under the seat. Anybody have one like this laying around they want to sell are give away? LMK

I got one like this with my 25hp Kawasaki engine from a Zero Turn John Deere. It should work well once I get the flex hose to hook it to the engine.

It's probably like your looking for, although I'd look around for something cheaper.

I do however like the enclosed air filter setup better than the open one with the sock over it.

Air Box!

Yea that's what I'm looking for also. I have just the K&N filter with a sock over it right now.

The filter with sock is fine for not so dirty riding, but I just never liked the idea with the dirty trails and off road riding that we do with these things.

I set up two clones with a box off a 90s cavalier 2.0 tech I think the engine was. Bought them both for $10 each at a boneyard. Big rubber hose comes on the top, the bottom is round and you can fit a pvc nipple in there and use a conduit nut to secure it, then pipe the pvc intake to a clean place for air. This airbox mounts by the top of the radiator with a hose over the engine to the TB, in the car. Flat element in it is $7. I think its 2" pvc fits it here is the first one I put in.

I ran the pvc under the floor and up under the dash for air intake. Some places very dusty around here. Have to get that rubber hose with it the top is oval, but the round part fits pvc if you cut it down.

Pics of my cart same airbox: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/clone...tml#post784967

Question Re: Air filter box

Well I tried a S-10 air box just sitting it in the bed and running the hose to the carb. It idled just fine but when I went to drive it it spit and sputered. Couldn't do anything with it so I put the K&N back like it was.

I had to jet my carb richer when I put the airbox on, it flows more air for sure, enough for a car engine lol maybe 125hp or something.

Thumbs up Re: Air filter box

We had our 2nd annual truck cruise in yesterday and I picked up a old oil bath air filter housing for $5.00. I have taken it a part and cleaned it and going to wire wheel it and paint it to install in the cart. I sure hope it works. My plan is to install it inside the bed where I cut the hole for the PVC pipe.

Air comes in from top to bottom then back up to the top and back down through the center. I may have to open the inlet slots up some for it to breath good enough.

Here it is all a part to clean.

This is what was in it for filtering.

I think maybe you should put a tupperware lid on it.
