Default Backwoods Buggy Big Block Swap!

Havent been on the forum in a while because I have been enjoying the weather on the ol ezgo with the family. I really want to say THANK YOU to every body that has helped me so far, this has been a great tool for my last few builds.

Now, I have a txt with the 9hp factory engine, 6" lift, 6098 belt, ect, ect.. I also have an 18hp vanguard that should be returned to me tomorrow after a leak down test, compression test and valve adjustment.

if all comes back well im in the market for a roller cart or big block swap parts. Either way the engine is going in a txt. So what is the best route to take for cradle, clutch, header ect. I found a kit from (I think I need to double check) CPP for $6ish with a 780 cradle belt and header. Is there a better deal and or can I skip the cradle or is it worth the money? thanks in advance. Looking for general dos and donts people know from experience. if this engine is on the up and up this project will more then likely progress fairly quickly

I'm not an ezgo specialist but I'd say if you are going to do anything to the engine do it before you install it, like a rev kit for example. Its easier.

For me its easy to make a mount but I have a welder and saw I can use. If you don't the kits are way easy to use instead.

Seems like I picked the wrong shop. never touched the engine and called me to pick it up. Dropped it off at a more reputable shop today.

if you have the fab skills building the cradle is not that hard but for me buying the cradle is just easier , as for the engine we could walk you through most of the work you need to do , that is not something any member should pay for if we can avoid it, also you get some cool new tools for the price of what it cost to send it out, and then you have the knowlege forever to be able to pass it on

at the moment I aim more restricted by time then anything. Ive had a couple engines apart before but not any of importance. this particular engine has 150lbs of compression on one side and 120 lbs on the other, both are better then they should be but the gap worries me

Make sure the valves are adjusted correctly, then try again. Make sure you check it at WOT.
The difference in compression would bother me too.
