Since so many of you have the equus tach any input on how it does on a cart out in the elements?

Re: equus tach weather proof?
Good question here. I don't have a tach yet but always wondered this as my cart is outside 6 months out of the year.

Re: equus tach weather proof?
I've drive it in the rain, but my cart is stored indoors. I wouldn't consider it weatherproof although I've never had any issues with it....

X2 on the drivers glove box. If I think it's going to get wet, I toss a rag over it. It's easier for me to read it mounted there than on the steering column.

I can tell you that they aren't waterproof. I've had water on the back side of the glass(plastic).

Re: equus tach weather proof?
My cart sits outside and no problems. One time I got it wet washing off the cart and it wouldn't function. Waited a bit and then it worked. May need to do the rag thing like Dave.

Re: equus tach weather proof?
Water resistant.....not waterproof.....not weatherproof. Was outside one night during heavy rain, water did get in past the glass/plastic, saw some condensation in there the next day as it was trying to dry out. Not sure "where" the water got in, but it did somewhere. Light rain doesn't seem to bother it.

Re: equus tach weather proof?
I have mine mounted in the glove box also. Makes it easy to see and it's been washed and rained on and pulled on the trailer at 80MPH in a down pour and it works fine. I may not say it's water proof but it want hurt it that's for sure!

Re: equus tach weather proof?
Mine is up on the column and I am still considering weather proofing it. Not sure how? Had my sun super III over the glove box but still found it too low.Maybe the difference between on road and off road driving?
