Question New clutch or rebuild kit?

I have a B&S 18hp in my 2001 EZGO TXT. It has started to stuggle occasionally on the hills where I live (daily driver where I live). Should I replace the clutch? Is there an easy rebuild kit or springs that would help? Not sure how old clutch is. Cart was built by Sand n Sea out of Yuma per plaque on cart. Not sure when or specs on clutch. Looks stock to me. Any help is appreciated. Just want back to normal and not looking for screaming fast or crazy. I run it at about 1000-1200 rpm usually.

see if you can get us a picture of the clutches on your cart, im guessing that its th clutch on the axle not your engine, the springs and seats wear out and so do the belts.

Question Re: New clutch or rebuild kit?

Here are the pics. Thanks again for help. If it is the driven clutch, is there a kit I can get to change out what is needed, and possibly a write up somewhere of what to do?

Looks like the primary is a stocker, not the best for performance. It might be a problem, but likely the culprit is the secondary. It's the secondary clutch that determines the gear you drive in, and it sounds like you might be staying in high gear, like the secondary clutch isn't backshifting (downshifting).

It's impossible to tell you the problem from your photos. You'll have to disassemble them and inspect them for wear.
