Deep Water/ Clutch Slippage & Ignition Problems
I am thinking hard about ordering Toms 23hp vanguard kit for my 92 CC. I have a big lift and 27" tires. I go through very deep water. My question is my stock motor dies as soon as water gets up to the crank. Im guessing part of the ignition is behind that cover and it gets wet and kills the motor. Do the 23hp vanguards have any problems when wet or going through deep water? Also How do the new clutches like the 740 comet like water?? My belt slips pretty bad when it is wet but it does still pull as long as the motor will run. Has anybody had any experience with a big block and water crossing? How hard is it to intall Toms kit? I would really love some input from you guys before I shell out another 2grand on my cart. I dont want to do all this and not be able to go any deeper than I could with my stock motor. Looking for input thanks guys. I need to upload some pics of the new ride.

Yes I realize that but like I say it does still pull even with the belt in the water. I want to build a unit that will seal the belt and clutches from outside debree and water.

Re: Deep Water/ Clutch Slippage & Ignition Problems
Kewl I think im gonna have to with the 18hp kit. It is supposed to just as quite as stock and thats a big deal to me. I think that it will have plenty of power as I also have the low 15:1 ratio gears in my cart.

Re: Deep Water/ Clutch Slippage & Ignition Problems
You will probably want to go back with stock gears, bet you will be really low with that power and the 15:1.
