recovered
My Big block cart was stolen on Easter Sunday. It was returned to me this last week by the Sheriffs office sporting this new spray can black paint job, the back seat missing, all the stereo removed, And missing all the lights. Every bit of wiring has been stripped from the cart. 23 vanguard, long rods, and flat top pistons, cromwell ported heads, roller clutch, now the (painters) had removed all the disks from the supertrapp trying to make it silent, like trying to fart thru a straw, could that burn a valve or? both plugs were toast, very black, how far should I tear the motor down to check for damage? I have already went out and bought a yamaha to replace this cart... and the wife loves the new one. I only had liability insurance on the big block cart, I did put full coverage on the yamaha.
The difference was less than $70 a year! Please check your insurance. I'm thinking I should probably pull the heads..... your thoughts? |

Re: recovered
Dang that sucks. Carts with crappy spray paint jobs for sale make me wonder if they are stolen. At least you got some of it back.

Re: recovered
Glad you got your cart back but its a shame that the low lifes tore it up.
If it was mine, I'd do a compression test and if it was good, I wouldn't go any further into the motor. |

Re: recovered
I have already built this once.... I really don't know if I want to do it again. I might sell but it would be a package. Thanks,

Re: recovered
Cromwell heads huh...I know that guy. Bought my aluminum rocker arms from him. Pretty nice guy.
Sorry to hear about your cart. Nothing worse than a thief. |
