Default Big block-ezgo-hot seat Question

Hello,
I just installed a long travel kit on my 2009 ezgo st express. Now its time to upgrade to big block motor!
My question is....ive heard about "hot seat" people get with 23hp briggs and/or the honda equivlent, but im really not all too clear on it. As i am looking to upgrade, Can someone please tell me a little more what exactly it is, and remedies/solutions? Thank..

Hot seat is when the seat bottom and leg area get warm from the engine heat underneath. If you build it right with enough clearance you shouldn't have a problem. Some carts are limited on space and sometimes the heat doesn't have a place to go. I have seen people install vents, fans, ducting, etc to increase the air flow into that compartment. The carts that tend to have a problem are the ones that have shrouding underneath like a skid plate or some kind of plastic cover. Mine doesn't have this and I've never had any heat problems.

Wrap the exhaust header with header wrap all the way back to the muffler. You won't have an issue with heat then.
