Engine rebuild ????'s
Well I think I bought a couple of carts today. One I'm going to use to barter some stuff with but the other I would like to get going. It's a Jacobsen hauler, which from what I've seen is basically the same as an ezgo workhorse. It has a 16hp Vanguard in it now and the guy who has it says he was told it will run but needs rebuilt. I'm not sure what is going on with it but for the price I'm getting them I don't think I can turn it down. So with that being said I'm trying to figure a ballpark price on rebuilding the Vanny, cheapest best case scenario vs most expensive worst case. Also if I have to go to the trouble of rebuilding it to a good running stock engine, how much more would it add to "hop it up" a little? Any input or experience is appreciated.

Re: Engine rebuild ????'s
Without knowing the condition of the motor, it could be anywhere from $0 to buying a new motor.
You need to know why he thinks it needs a rebuild before you can get a cost estimate. |
