Getting back the 18hp Briggs!
If anyone may remember, I had a G2 project cart that I sold to ease up on some of my projects. I didn't so much mind letting the cart go but kind of wished I had kept the engine to rebuild as a replacement for my PUG side by side.
I did get decent money/trade out of them so wasn't so worried about it. Today the guy I sold the project too got in contact with me and wanted to know if I wanted to buy the engine back. I asked him how much......... He says "$50" if I come get it. Double if he delivers it. How could I go wrong? At that price I can afford too do some mods too it. So..... If I happen to get picked for a Christmas build by Don, I have the engine for it. If not, I can just do it myself! I'm thrilled to say the least. |

Nice buy smoke! Apparently this guy doesn't know a gold mine when he sees one

True........ When he asked, I expected a price of around $200. Guess it's my good luck!

Yep, shipping these things is costly for sure. Even if you can find a deal on shipping your probably still looking at $75 or so!
Boke, I'm glad he offered it back to me. I had $175 in it to begin with so I feel pretty good about getting it back so cheaply. |

Pretty amazing for a good deal to give you even more, but sometimes you get lucky! Keep us up to date, maybe you can get one of those superchargers for it....

Picked it up tonight. It's in the back of my truck and I still can't believe he sold it back to me for the measly sum of $50.

Re: Getting back the 18hp Briggs!
Now go look in a mirror and slap the $hit out of yourself and say in a loud voice..."I wil never sell this motor again".
