Default Does the rear end hold up?

Just curious with changing from standard 295CC to up to 24HP motor increase, Has anyone had any issues with the stock rear gearing holding up?

Youre talking about an EZGO? The ME29 transaxle is one of the better ones, if not the best. I've seen guys running big hp on these, even with street bike engines etc. 24hp? is that a Honda....then yes it will hold.

These are Dana rear ends..they are built to withstand years of abuse without having the fluid checked or anything.. I can't recall one failure out of thousands, but I am sure one is out there.

I have run 26, 23, 14 and another 20 + without any issues.

Most or all GC trannies have huge gears in them like 1" wide. Some ezgo do have a problem with the axle splines stripping out at times, but I don't know what models are affected. Generally if you stay with CVT, the CVT is very easy on the drivetrain because it presents no torque peaks/impacts (such as shifting gears or dropping the clutch would).
