Default Differential Swap

I had recently swapped out the original rear end on my 80 EZGO Marathon, with a Dana Spicer F-N-R, assembly.
It has a very low gear ratio, so my top speed is not as fast as I would like it to be. I have hit 24 mph, but the engine is revving almost 4000 rpms.
Is there another type of rear end swap that others have used, with forward and reverse, so one can get a higher gear ratio?
I've heard of atv rear end swaps, but this isn't what I'm looking for. I want a solid rear axle/transmission assembly.
Thanks for any replies and advice

Morgan44 has done the swap. Get ahold of him. He is very helpful.
The rear end swap in in his build thread here...

24 mph at 4000 rpm doesn't sound that far off what other golf carts will do. Most carts with 22" tires will top out at 30 mph (give or take a few) and run at 5000 rpm (again estimated). With a high gear ratio you can run faster top end. You might be able to purchase a set of gears for it.

Couple questions:

1. What size tires?
2. What engine?
3. What cart was the trans/axle from?

Yup. At 4k rpm on my club cars on 22" tires 22-24 mph is good.

My G14 with 24" tires is 3700 rpms at 25mph.

Guess I should have mentioned these vitals.
I have a 20 hp Honda motor, With 22 inch tires, on 10 inch wheels. The rear end was a new old stock Dana Spicer h10 FNR I believe. The gear ratio is 13-25:1 forward, and 14.36:1 in reverse.

If you want to go faster you'll need a gear set or a different transaxle with 8:1 gears.

With greater speed comes greater responsibility.....These carts were NEVER made to go that fast and may handle horribly at speeds above 25 mph. I would recommend suspension upgrades as well as brake upgrades for safety reasons.

I bought it from a gentleman, who was going to build a motorized picnic table. Saw a few at B.I.R. and thought he would like one. The project never materialized, and he put it up for sale. I bought it for $200.00
As far as safety goes, I definitely am aware of that, and the whole drivetrain, except motor, is new. Front leafs are fine. I am using the mechanical brakes right now, but it also has a hydraulic set up in it, and am going to plumb that in.
I don't typically drive it at 24 mph, because it's too fast for where I go with it. But thanks for the reminder also.
I want to add a roll cage/soft top frame to it also, to further enhance safety.
I'm having a hard time deciding what I want for the roll cage, and haven't seen any that has caught my eye.
I would love to find a rear end with 8:1 gears along with reverse. I don't care so much about the top end speed, but rpms being lowered. With 20 horsepower, I have a ton of torque though.

I'm working on my own roll cage for my modified G1 right now. It will have a soft top as well. I'm using some rubber roofing type material that is strong and works very well.
