Vanguard 23HP
bought the Vanguard engine kit 780 clutch, had to re fabricate the mounting plate first of all, engine was 2'' higher than seat . also put 6:1 gears, was really disappointed with power and speed, anyone done anything to help performance? 35mph at 3700 rpm.

sorry been out of town,23 hp, 97 club car lifted, i think the 6:1 gear was too much gear, takes a lot just to get 30mph.

Too much gear. The 23 hp vanguard has LOTS of torque. No need to add low end.

6:1 gear is a high speed gear 12:1 is low for torque, the kit come from Vegas carts, tires are 22 x 11
