Default Might have found a twin!

Been running the clone for a while now and it's blown me away with what it can do. However, I found a 14 HP Vanny on a generator I can probably get cheap. Will this work?? Haven't seen much on here about the 14's...

It will work with some work or changes. Biggest issue is more than likely the crank is a tapered shaft. Most gen motors are but check to be sure. Your options are to have it turned down or buy a replacement. Turned down is good because it keeps the stock parts together, but either way is possible. Don't let the two initial horsepower numbers worry you a whole lot. My marathon vanny was born a 14, there is a lot of potential with any vanguard. If you were wanting to drag race for money, I'd tell you to hold off for more cc's, but I don't think that's what you are looking for.

Alright cool that's what I was wondering. So if it's tapered, it will be larger than a 1" and thus be able to be turned down to a 1" shaft and fit a comet clutch?

When you find a Vanguard for cheap you need to buy it right away! These aren't cheap motors and they go quick at a good price. Keep looking....

Man I called the second I saw it! I found another about two hours away waiting on a response. After having this clone, I want more haha! Is the twin a lot smoother as well? Like actual vibration I mean. I'm assuming so...
