Default Hyundai with predator 670 what clutch

I picked up a hyundai golf cart and am going to swap in a harbor freight 670 v- twin into it,
And the hyundai originally used a 7/8 drive belt.

I do not have the original engine or clutch from the cart, it was removed before I got it.

So what clutch drive/driven, and belt should I use?

I have heard of using the comet 780 and 1 3/16 belt with the stock driven clutch and the belt will just ride up a little higher.

Any help would be great.

Vegascarts has swaps for the Hyundai so you might check what they use for the 460 on the driven clutch.I myself like the way the 780 works as the primary clutch.

I would like to run the 780 driven clutch, I just don't know how the 1 3/16 belt will work on the driven clutch that originally used the 7/8 belt.
I called Vegas carts and the gentleman I spoke to didn't sound like he knew all that much and told me that he thinks they might use the larger belt with the stock driven clutch.

That is what they do on the yamaha G2-14.On their pro boards site they use the same installation instructions for hyundai and the yamaha G2-14.

Wider belt on the smaller driven just means you'll get a very low gear to start out with, and it might limit your top speed just a tad. It should work though.

This may sound dumb to you guys but the primary clutch is on the motor and the drive clutch is on the axle? I'm learning and trying to build my 88 marathon with an ezgo 98 4 stroke transaxle. I still have the original gas 2 stroke axle also with all the parts. I want to drop in the 670 predator. I have read 780 comet is what I want to use but i know there are different types and shaft sizes. I might buy my engine this weekend that's why I'm asking.

The drive clutch is the clutch on the engine, the driven clutch is the clutch that gets driven, so the one on the axle.

The Predator 670 has a 1" diameter crankshaft with a 1/4" cut keyway. The Comet 780 should work for your drive clutch.
Be aware, the schedule idle for this engine is around 1800rpm. Others on here have had to do some work to lower the idle to get your clutch to perform decently.
