Just picked up a vanny

I just picked up a 19hp vanguard v twin. The engine runs fantastic. It has electric and pull start. Now, what to do with it?

It's in a 10 kw generac generator. The guy said the stator went in the generator and it produces 198 volts and can't be regulated.

Weird thing is I can't find much reference to a 19hp GN 570. Every search refers to the 570cc as the 18hp.

It looks just like a Vanguard but I've never heard of a 19hp version. I can see the briggs symbol on the valve covers. Any other markings on it?

Hard to read in the pic but the model number says 350445. type says 1162-E and 4011 under it. code number 9710081

I seen that on craigslist,but bear in mind most of the generator engines have the tapered crank.Maybe that other vanny you got will have the straight crank.

This one was not on craigslist. I found it at the local lawn mower repair shop called Teps. The engine runs really good just the generator portion doesn't work right. Yes it does have a tapered crank but a machine shop wouldn't charge that much to turn it down to 1". That other vanny is long gone. Got an offer i couldn't refuse.

This is a good thought. It looks pretty old. I bet it's a 570cc 18hp changed to a "19hp" for marketing reasons.
