2002 EZ-Go Txt - Vanguard 16hp swap
To start this build I picked up a 16hp Briggs & Stratton V-Twin and a CPP subframe. I decided to keep the pedal start so I ordered a pulley and clutch (comet) from CPP too.

Thanks guys ;) here are some more pics.
Checking the drive belt side to side. I have to figure out what to do with the throttle and choke cables. I took the original starter/generator bracket and modified it to be bolted down in front of the V-Twin. I thought I took before pics but can't find them. I had to remove the original engine bracket and frame bracket. Then I tig'd some aluminum angle to it and powder coated it red, just because :) Bracket - done Bracket mounted. Another picture of the bracket where it will sit. Not a lot of space for the oil filter so I will have to run a remote setup. Looking into that now but I can't see spending $50 on a plate when I think I can make one. The Briggs remote filter kit just is not cost effective for this build. Original differential-subframe bracket and a cardboard one that I will need to make. New aluminum bracket for the differential-subframe. Bracket installed. Joel Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Before I run this engine I took off the heads to check for problems. Besides some carbon build up they look great. I did a quick clean up and bolted them back on with new gaskets.
Heads cleaned up Today the Rev-Kit came from CPP. Easy install. Two washers under each spring and new spring retainers. I also used left over red wrinkle paint on the covers. Joel Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Exhaust time!
Trying to figure out how to run it. Decided on a solution. Yes it sticks out more than I wanted but the rear step for the rear seat will cover it anyways. I saw that some one on here used a Kawasaki 6r exhaust and I found one for $35 so I had to give it a try. Joel Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Throttle linkage. I think I'm going to change it though in order to delete the EzGo governor on the diff.
