16hp picked it up today-is this right?
picked it up hopefully this will work,got it for 250 and it runs great.going to leak down and compression check it before i attempt to install it.what shaft size and is there a certain rotation.where would i find the p/n# on it.this is going into a 93 marathon.any help would be great as im new to this.

you'll have to make your own motor plate but yes it can be done.That will be a great motor.You'll need the comet 780 clutch.Get it from Tom at CPP and you can't go wrong.I was going to buy his motor plate but you would need to hack the front off to make it work so I just made my own.I also lengthened the swing arm 3 inches.

the stock clutch wont work?what is the shaft on the stock 295?

I believe it is tapered on the stock motor.

will this 16 hp give me more power than the 295?also i was down eye ballin things and not sure how to come up with my measurements when i go to mount it.i plan on a 4-5 inch lift and 23"tires.will i need to lower this down in the cradle a little?i am going to purchase the clutch from cpp this week,i guess i should wait till i get it right?sorry for all the ????.as i was looking it over,there sure is alot of wiring,do i junk it all and start over?what about cables?lol

I took all my factory wiring out and all new wires.I installed an ignition switch to where you start the motor and it stays running untill you shut it off.I'm going to shoot you a pm with my #.Give me a call and I can give you some measurements.I'll try and post you a schematic of the wiring harness I made.it is straight out of the briggs and stratton manual.Later,Richie
