Club Car Lifted Limo
Thought I would start this today, for some reason all pics didn't come through I will take some more tomorrow. These are just of cart at start and cut in half to the approximate length it will be. Gonna start on a-arms tomorrow, and finish up stretch. We are using the front end off a Yamaha Warrior 4-wheeler, does anyone have any insight or know of any threads out there. We are going to weld in brackets and brace really well. Hopefully post pics tomorrow of finished front end.

Re: Club Car Lifted Limo
Got a few more pics to share. A-arm hangers just tacked in, still need to finish welding, but welder broke down. I have also got other two frame rails tacked in. A-Arm hangers are going to be tied together with square tubing and then braced to the frame.

Re: Club Car Lifted Limo
Thank You, it will be so nice when we can get it completely braced and welded in. Gonna start rear suspension next. When i get mine done do I have to send off for a model like you have or do you guys just send me one. LOL I'd probably prefer a red head.

Very nice! That "I beam" aluminum is a perfect stretch material and looks like you can handle aluminum welding. Please keep the pic's comeing. Dave

Re: Club Car Lifted Limo
Luckily I have a friend that has a TIG welder and knows how to use it. The I-Beams were actually pretty easy to make, just time consuming. We are gonna run steel strap down the middle of the Outside I-Beams and bolt in just to help.

fastfour... very nice job! just an fyi, incase you are not aware....when you sandwich steel and alum, you need to put something such as a thin rubber membrain or a heavy layer of black or duct tape between the two different types of metals.when steel and alum are sandwiched, there comes a chemical reaction between the two, causing the alum to derioate faster(sort of like rusting). i dont know the scientology to this but as a welder in a shipyard for 17 yrs, i just thought i would add. i would hate to see all your hard work go to pot. mike |
