Vegas Carts 460 Big Block

Looking to pull the trigger on a Vegas Carts 460cc Big Block kit for my 99 EZ GO TXT. Funny thing is I asked the original owner if he had upgraded the secondary clutch spring (since the VC460 works better with the stock spring), and after talking for a bit I found out that he actually had that exact motor in the cart once before! Said it was a beast but that he took it out and sold it and put the original motor back in before selling the cart. Furthermore, I also found out that the one video I could find on YouTube showing that motor in an EZ GO, was actually MY Cart!! (Link to video below) Cool story...but back to my original question...

Does anybody know of any coupon codes or does VC offer any discounts for Forum members? Just looking to save whatever I can on the kit. This cart has been turning out to cause me a fortune...it's an addiction!!!

I'm not sure, around the holidays they posted some specials and I bought most of my stuff then. Posted them here in clones. Can't go wrong with that thing its a great package and price.

Yeah I actually talked to them through Facebook yesterday and they told me they pretty much only run specials around Black Friday. However it seems to me they may be a little behinds on orders right now. If they're on backorder, may be worth waiting till then to buy one.

If you are a veteran I think they do a 5% discount.

Sadly I'm not. No biggie. My only thinking now is that if they are on back order for a couple months, then I may as well wait until Black Friday to order because I won't be using it this summer anyways, and just install it over winter as a nice little winter project. But if they're only on back order for a couple weeks, then I'll go ahead and get it. I need to call them tomorrow to see what the wait time is.

Beg, they told me the same thing. Only sales were around black Friday. They still gave me 5% off anyway. That was about 3 months or so ago.

Yeah I couldn't wait and they were only on a 10 day back order so I went ahead and ordered one. The first part has already shipped and will be here Wednesday. Excited to get this thing installed. My only worry is how I'm going to mount the exhaust. I have an idea and the materials to do it...just afraid it may not work like I want it to.

There is a lot of threads here on exhaust, a bunch of ways to do it. So far my coupling is working great for 4 years I think I have on it. Once in a while I hear it squeak a tiny bit on a bump when going slow. Some use rice rocket or harley mufflers, or atv mufflers. I used a car muffler, some use tractor mufflers, you can use a lawn muffler off a larger engine too, or a generator muffler they are very quiet.

I just put my VC460 muffler that came with the kit on last night. It wasn't nearly as loud as I was expecting based on the comments here. I also put a turndown on it so it is pointing at the ground and maybe that helped some. I wan't to spend some time on it to see if I think its too loud or not before putting a different type of exhaust on it.

The way to find out if its to loud ---- take it camping for the weekend and drive it to the public bathroom at 2 am in the morning. The best judge will be if people complain.
