Just got a Big Block
I just bought a 16 hp v-twin b&s off of ebay. The guy says he thought it was an 11 hp. That is not the case. He gave me a model number of 303447 I looked it up on B&S website and it is a 16 hp. The problem is he said it won't turn over. Which could be horrible or something stupid. I am hoping for something stupid since he didn't know what he even had. But worst case, what do you guys think I will have in rebuilding it? I bought it for $60 I am mechanically inclined. Used to be a Honda tech so I think I can rebuild it myself. Just curious.

Anyone? Not being impatient just trying to keep it where someone can see it.

Re: Just got a Big Block
Thanks I'm hoping nothing too serious. The guy says there is no cracks or holes in the block. I'm picking it up Tuesday. He says it has been sitting for a couple of years so it will be rebuilt either way.

Re: Just got a Big Block
I love my 16 hp although not a B & S. I'm continually impressed by what it will do. It just doesn't disappoint.

Re: Just got a Big Block
i got this one a while back and had to pull the crank and turn the pto end [genarator end in the picture] to a m30 taper so i can use my ez go clutch. i think you do well! 60 bucks is a cheap start.
