Default Should i purchase this big block?

ok so i found a guy selling a 18hp vtwin briggs. Please tell me if it works and is the one that is normally used. He says its 1/4 key way and measured a 1 3/8 shaft. The model is 850447 the type is 0151-01 and the code is 94071911. Does anyone know if this will work on my cart? And about how much would the alternate stuff i need to buy from tom be? Thanks alot for the help

What kind of cart? I know Tom sells an EZGO 94-2007 engine cradle but I don't think he sell yami's or CC's cradles by themselves. Keep in mind....YOU are putting together YOUR OWN kit.

85 - ? Are you sure this is 85? It should be 35 cubic inch
0
4 - Horizontal Shaft
4 - Ball Bearing, Flange Mounting, Pressure Lubrication
7 - Electric Starter, 12 or 24 Volt Gear Drive with Alternator

build date 1994 July 19th plant 11

Also are you sure it is a 1 13/8 shaft? That motor is usually a 1 inch shaft

he said that it was hard to see but that the 8 could def be a 3 so that would be the 35 cubic inch. So with all that info is it the one that would work in the cart? And all i would need is the belt and clutch? What about cradle or whatever? Thanks so much for the help shawn

the comet 780 is 1" shaft. most of the 14-23 briggs are 1" shaft. 25hp up were 1 3/16 - I think- don't quote me which would be the 1190 clutch

any motor will do if your handy

the G2/G9 motor plate is a bit different. pretty easy to make from the pictures that I have seen.

i would suggest reading up on the different builds. LOTS of information is posted here

I documented everything on my build with lots of pictures. The new Guy has lots of pictures.
