I might have fried my EQUUS 8068, my starter/gen started putting out over 17 volts again, it took me a long time to get it to work right last time, once I figure it out I'll be looking into one of these tachs if its fried..

Chris, I just got mine on Saturday and it did come with a hose clamp. Yours must have gotten packed right before quitten' time. I hope to put it on one evening this week. BTW, I love your warning sticker!

I've been thinking about trying one of these because I've stretched my ride about 10 inches and the Equus tach sensor cable is going to be to short. I'm been dreaming up my wiring schematic to include a few things like turn signal and some different front lights. Wiring in the VC tach would be very easy. It can all be done in the dash board itself. Some people may run a wire to the coil and wire in a connector for the signal at the engine. If you run a clone and your key switch grounds the coil -- there ya go - signal wire already in place and you can do the in dash wiring. That I think is way cool.
