Default Predator 670 Performance

I ran across this site tonight. https://www.performance670.com

Looks to have a ton of perfomance parts top to bottom.

I follow Cars and Cameras on Youtube and they have a video tonight where they are going full bore on a 670.

Looks like someone is finally going to see what these engines are capable of.Stay tuned Vtwin fans.Mud motor and ultralite guys have been using them for a while where they just use the prop to keep the engine the lower rpm range. Hot rodders being hot rodders somebody was going to figure out what was needed to get the 670 cc predator up to more power.

Not a cheap camshaft. It has taken longer than I thought to see this.

I wonder in place of the camshaft if some higher ratio rocker arms from something else would fit.But hey the springs are good for 7k plus.I wonder where they came from.Without the go karters creating racing classes for them how long would it have taken speed equipment for our clones ? And then Geoff doing a lot of the engineering for the golf carts. I think still the primary users of the 670 are going to be the mud motors and crazy Karters. A little harder to picture is the minibikers but those guys really spend time and money going fast. As the saying goes "stay tuned"

I looked on the web to see where they were located. They are in Iowa. Looks like they opened in august and are involved with tractor pulling. I wish them well as they stepped up where no one else did. It maybe pure chance but guess who else is in Iowa. Midwestsupercub

$600 would buy you a lot of stuff, $1200 total would be dirt cheap if it had say 30hp level and ran up to 5500 rpm range. I'd be on it for the next build...if I ever get to do one. Cam, rods, valvetrain stuff, if the cam is high lift you don't need high ratio rockers. I know some of this stuff fits other engines, they are all similar.

Far as the clones we were lucky they raced GX390s for a long time. The kart guys all did the little GX's can get a ton of stuff for them. I'd love to do a cart with multiple GX200 clones but it would be a drivetrain mess lol.

Looking further into who else does big time machining of small displacement pulling engines Vogel manufacturing has quite a site also. It looks like billet rods ,camshafts ,and flywheels are the order of the day. Mainly kohler stuff but they say other engines parts may be available.
