Default Mechanical Shifting Linkage

I have been busy the last few months doing some massive improvements in hopes to qualify for a vin number and be able to drive on the open road. I worked up an idea and made it happen. A handful of heim joints -- a few feet of 3/8" round stock and a Mosin Nagant rifle barrel for the shift handle and about 12 hours labor. Here's a video of how it works. I still have some add-ons like a reverse light switch and a neutral safety starting switch. Let me know what you think. I still have a couple of bends in the shift lever to get the handle in my position so Its comfortable.

Looks good, works like a charm too looks to me like

This summer I hope to put a shifter on my ds that the motion is forward and back. Pretty much like the kits you can buy but I'll make it myself, more fun that way. I already extended the stock shifter lever about 3 inches topped by a golf ball but I'd like to have that forward and back motion to shift forward to reverse

Shepherd that is an amazing video,
I have been wanting to do something like this forever. The whole reason I took out my Jake's shifter, was that I was always having to adjust it after a rough weekend.....
As you already know, I'm a little on the slow side. But I would really like to see pictures of how the helm joints work so that I can understand. How many Helm joints were used to make this? I would never use a Mosin Nagant rifle barrel!!!
I guess it is because I'm a Mosin fan, a great long rifle still to this day.....
With this Theory work on my club car?

I'm an extreme Mosin fan. This is my first time shooting a 1000 yds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObMwgAuB6P0

I can't say if it will work on a CC -- you can try. It uses 8 heim joints and I used 2 exhaust clamps to form a platform for the pivot of the lever system. I will draw a picture of the assembly for future use. I'd have to see how clear the insides of your cart is.
