Default EFI add to 620 in G2

Earlier I saw a post on EFI by Ectrons. They appear to be a china based company and I have been in email contact with there support. They have some questions than I can't answer, so I am reaching out.

What is the ignition type of the engine?
you need make a bracket for fixed the hall sensor. We will provide the hall sensor
and ignition module for control the ignition timing. Please tell us the magnet on the trigger wheel polarity. Is it S or N. How many magnets on the trigger wheel?

Following this for sure, but IMO wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to swap an EFI engine like from a motorcycle than to convert a clone? Technically probably possible but cannot imagine the headaches you'll encounter. I see people here struggling with an electric fuel pump over a pulse driven one.

Honda did a great job with the GX and GY6 (and tons of others) and are undoubtedly the most copied motors in the world! Let years of engineering be and know you'll have a simple, reliable machine!

Here's the setup your talking about. A little pricey if you ask me. There based in the states.

I don't see a price

I'll be happy when the engine manufacturers change over to EFI stock. thats where the price will be much better. I know the new subaru engine in the new cc is an efi and the price of the cart doesn't seem to be that much more than the earlier models. Kohlers have some efi too best I remember, as well as kawasaki v-twins

Add-ons will always cost an arm and a leg as well as most times one first born.

..and that is just the single cylinder price, cant imagine how much for a twin!

Totally agree EFI is the future as it obviously happened with cars, but maybe not in small engines? Wouldn't be surprised to see even more electric applications on smaller stuff, and diesel for something like larger pressure washer.

Small carbureted engines are cheap and easy to produce and while they're still around!

is anyone familiar with " the magnet on the trigger wheel polarity. Is it S or N. How many magnets on the trigger wheel?"

Their EFI looks vary complete. The will help with the tune. They recommend " For the GB625 engine, we will provide a 28mm flange throttle body with 248g/min injector"

Most small engine are magneto, I don't know the polarity of the single magnet.

Yeah some have tried to make a system with a Pi ECU, etc., using GM injectors or something. Its tough to put together and you have to program all that stuff and still not cheap. I'm afraid I agree you might as well swap in an engine with it, and some like atvs you can get controllers to beef up mixture and stuff if you need it. I know a guy with a prowler utv efi and it runs like a top, as do the polaris. The new lawn engines may be worth the extra cost also, cost would come down the more they sell. The problem IMO is if you had Ford or GM make an inexpensive small engine injection system it could be done, but no large company with the ability to do it has any reason to do it. Certainly something for the liberal/tree huggers to wonder about. They complain but lack to do things that would be effective and useful and actually help the issue. Instead they cap the adjustments on small engines so soon as they get some wear on them and run poorly you can't tune them back up.

This is the flywheel and I need to know how to tell if the magnet is north of south. Not sure if anyone out there has experience in this area.
