Default VC 625cc lean popping?

When hold it full throttle for a bit and let off it’s starts popping out the exhaust.
Anyone else have this problem.
VC has suggested take out main jet and micro drill the hole a tad.

Mine does the same thing but they told me it was due to an air leak on my pulse line, the line fittings are tight and not leaking but the "pop" is still there .

I think I’m going to drill the carb.
Do you have any issues with your battery not charging?

IMHO Anyone with a VC 460 or 625 should get an adjustable main jet kit to really make tuning of these engine a snap.

You can go by the welders supply store and tell them you want to purchase a drill bit type acetylene tip cleaner. Find the one that just fits in the jet then drill the jet out the next size larger and then try the engine and if it still isn't enough go to the next size. on my 460 I went from .068 to 1.04 before I got mine right. About 4 or 5 steps getting there. Keep checking your plug too, what you want is a plug that has a honey colored center insulator. If its white its still too lean. Lean is running hot and is not good for the engine

Take the jet out and put the drill in the holder and do the drilling by hand. No electric drilling at all.

It looks like only NR racing has any at the moment. P.S. Stout racing is listing one that looks like the unit I bought from EC carbs for $25.

waterlooboy2hp is the seller on ebay but I just checked and he doesn't have any listed right now. Keep looking and if his past is any indication of the future he'll have them listed again real soon. Good quality too.

HF Predator Engine Adjustable High Speed Needle Assembly Is how he list them when he does have some

US $9.79 and that includes shipping and he'll have one to you within 3 days or did with me.
