Default Saying Hi with a CCDS Update.

Hey all I haven't croaked yet just been a bit busy. I did manage to get some upgrades done to the ole CC.
As you will see in the pics I am getting close to finishing exhaust. It does function and sound good as it is but I still have improvements to make.
Also got the 3 circuit carb and timing advance kit installed. Running race gas at about 102 octane she screams. Added 26" tires to the rear and hit 47mph with stock gears using the phone gps. Running the double cogged belt probably helps with the top speed I know it helps on the low end. I have lobbed up some steep hills like a rock crawler.
I am still slowly tinkering on the G2 unfortunately it has gone beyond golf cart to a whole new level. Suspesion with 9 inches of unloaded travel front and rear and 4 wheel disc brakes are complete. Currently trying to figure out how to fit a 750 motorcycle engine and trans into it.
John Deere mower engine has taken a bit of my time to rebuild. Currently waiting on one last part that is on a slow boat from China.
Hope all is well in the BGW family. I appreciate the concerns over the appearance of me falling off the map. Be assured all is as well as it can be for an old guy in a beat up body can be. I am a headstrong Taurus who operates a lot like a humming bird from hobby to hobby. As my family often reminds me I have more money than common sense so I had decided to pump the brakes on the cart addiction for a bit.
A Blessed Day to All........

Glad you're doing good.

I enjoy reading your updates on different projects and didn't see any updates for a while.

Between you and ProjectClubCar, ya'll provide some good reading. Speaking of, has anyone heard from PCC lately???

Did you custom build that muffler?

Looking good. The exhaust looks very rugged and well supported. I missed your posts.

I did build the exhaust front to back. I am currently working on a better design using a MF muffler.
There was a lot done when I pulled the ole girl apart. I pulled head and unshrouded valves and smoothed intake and exhaust ports. Also opened exhaust flange and ran 1 1/2 pipe. Added 3 stage carb w/adjustable main jet and idle screw (the low idle and no stutter on take-off is remarkable) and timing advance kit @ 3 degrees. Put on a shorter double cog belt. Running race fuel there is little to no pinging and the 460 runs like a beast. I am running the roller rockers but have wondered if switching to the 3:1 rockers would add a little more or take away.
I hit the 47mph on the phone gps at about 7000rpm and the 460 was singing. I have only done that the one time, I would like to get some life out of it. I rip the cc all over town and it is a smooth ride with the big tires set @10lbs. The 0-20 or 30mph has impressive torque. And yes the daughter has already thrown 2 of her friends from the rear seat on a take-off into a turn move. Thank goodness young kids bounce.
I do have a welder lined up to permanently attach the front frame section and strengthen the rear for a hitch and possibly go to a 3-link design w/coil-overs who knows I have to take it back apart some to get this done and I am currently having way to much fun driving it so that part is on hold.
All in all the cc is done now onto one of the many other projects.

Stopping by to wave hi to everyone. I have been busy but have found some time to tinker on my cart projects. My G2 build is ready to start fitting body pieces which is proving to be a challenge because there is very little G2 left. It has been a nut and bolt resto-mod. I will try and get some picks up.
Now about my favorite daily driver. What started as a 89 CC has transformed into much more. She is a beast that easily can do 40+ and can also climb a vertical hill. The CC has been at the welders getting the frame strengthened, front end repair welded and tabs for a 3 link rear. My plan is to use 1 weak leaf to locate rear and coil-overs for travel. Working on it in my free time so i will see how it goes.
Once again hi to all and best wishes.
PS ty to the person for the parts. You know who you are.
