Default G2, 670cc Predator swap

Just an update after 2 years. I completed the project with all the support from Buggies Gone Wild. Found a G2 that was complete, removed the engine and all stock components I did not need. Sent body to a friend to get painted Acura Pearl Blue. Sent the seats to my family to get upholstered. Cleaned all the frame components and spayed with ChassisBlack paint. Installed a 4” lift so engine would clear the seat with stock air box.

Used a 2x6” steel to make new crossmember. Cut out old one, removed cable supports, installed new crossmember. Made gussets and reused factory gusset. Made my own custom drop brackets with adjustment holes so I can change engines or axle angle should it ever need it. Engine plate is stainless with slots for belt adjustment as well.

Made my own exhaust from an old header I had from my street bikes, merged into one stainless pipe, into a Walker car muffler, and reinstalled the predator spark arrestor cap. Put on some new stock wheels and tires.

Kids love driving it and it’s very reliable. I even used it to aerate the lawn with 200# of concrete on my aerator. Never skipped a beat.

Sadly, it’s time to move on to next project. Have to make room. More pictures can be found at my FS listing.
