Will that work better than the stock lunchbox?

Yes! I haven't installed mine yet but I mocked it up. Had my wife run the engine while I held it on with gloves. Much quieter.

Soon as my last exhaust adapter arrives. Then it will go to the neighbor for welding.

I picked up a header fab exhaust tube from a hot rod parts supplier. It is one 1.5" dia tube that includes one 90 and a 180 bend. You can cut it up for a variety of bends. From ebay I got an exhaust adapter that is 1.25" ID in one end and 1.5" ID on the other. That will join the header to the new pipe required by the 22229 which is 1.5" inlet and outlet.

The new muffler will be in the same position as the current 22022 but the 22022 is a right angle muffler with the inlet on the side.

The 180 portion of the new pipe will exit the muffler on the left and turn to the right, ending near the right rear shackle. Much like one of the other members here with a VC460.

Finished installing the exhaust today. The 625 tiger purrs like a kitten now. I took it a little further than some others did with a longer 1.5" tailpipe and 2" turn out.

The ss 6" diesel exhaust band clamp around the muffler is bolted to a steel angle frame mounted to the axle with 2-1/8" exhaust clamps.

Now that I think about it, the clamps around the axle are 2-1/4" exhaust clamps.

I used the Walker Quiet flow ss 22266.
Works much better then the lunch box that comes with the kit.
The engine is loud now. The air intake cone releases a lot of noise.

Do you have pictures of your installation? I don't know how I would have shoe horned a 15" long muffler into my cart. The 10" long 22229 was tough enough.
