25hp Kohler V-Twin swap

I hope I'm doing this correctly. I have a 1992 G2 Yamaha golf cart and I have installed a 25 horse Kohler V-Twin what Clutch setup would work best for this so far what I have read is the Polaris Sportsman 500 clutch

Don't know anything about polaris clutches but we can recommend what we do use. The comet 780 is the most popular we run. Fits a 1 inch straight shaft and is completely adjustable as to rpm engagement.

My engine doesn't have a key way for a Straight Shaft pulley or clutch it used to be or industrial pump and had an impeller on it. I currently have a snowmobile clutch on it with the tapered shaft sleeve but the spring in the clutch is way too stiff

I have a comet 102-108 type clutch on my 440 cc sled engine powering a harley cart. I used the pink spring purchased from Dennis Kirk which is the lightest spring listed for this type of clutch. I worked out very well. Part # 203473A. The clutch came with the silver spring which was really stiff so I bought the black unit which was lighter but still too high of shift over and engagement. BUT I don't know if any snowmobile spring is going to suit the Kohler.

Hey Troy were you able to keep the Yamaha starter generator with your V-Twin?
