Default Questions for club car ds big block owners

Finally got around to getting the motor and kit I got from CPP installed. A couple of problems have come up though
1)Seems like original fuel pump can't keep up
2)Header is hitting shock. Everything on drivetrain alignment looks good.Looks like pipe coming out of the rear cylinder is too long forcing the main pipe to far toward the passenger side
3)Shifting trans is stiff. Set idle to lower setting and it helped but it's still stiff. Maybe better after broken in? The driven clutch is turning in neutral but belt deflection is around 1.5
What muffler works the best
Thx to everyone for the help

At the very least you should install a new fuel pump. At best, install a B&S fuel pump matched to that engine. You went from 290cc to 650-720cc. It might need a bit more fuel to make three times the horsepower. My EZGO with VC625 runs through fuel like a 396 Chevelle.

The CCP 23 kit should have the proper fuel pump and muffler to get the job done. Bruce would be your best bet for addressing the header problem. My driven clutch will turn in neutral, too.

All is well now. The header I done a little tweaking. The fuel pump pulse line was loose and the pickup had came off the petcock. Runs great now with unbelievable torque. Amazed how it pulls and what it will crawl up. Fighting a tachometer issue now. Thx again to all who's helped
