Default 1 1/8'' 780

can you machine a 780 up to 1 1/8'' to run on a 24hp honda? good, bad idea?.. thanks, jason

If you must run a 780, the easiest thing to do would be to have the end of the crankshaft turned down to 1".. I don't think there is enough beef in the 780's hub to open it up to 1 1/8".. Why not run a 1190 and save yourself a bunch of headaches????

The 780 is the most used due to it's $$$

In this situation, I'd have to go with the 1190 like CC-John said - Save yourself a bunch of headaches and added cost from machining, balancing and downtime...

Thanks guys!, just tryin to keep the $$ down. looks like there is an 1190 in my future. Whats funny is the fabricated 2 into1 header sitting on top of that 500.00 clutch!!!! it looks like hell, but is tight and sounds awsome comin out of the cherry bomb turbo style muffler! nothing a role of 1/2 in. header wrap wont take care of.......... thanks again!, jason
