Default Roll cage kits

Didn't see a topic for cage kits. Need to stiffen chassis. Any recommendations?

Grizzly Metalworks makes some nice stuff. Anything that looks like a roll bar from Jakes or similar that bolts together, are just brush bars.

I would not bet my life on any of the "Golf Cart Roll Cage kits". An actual roll cage has to be tied into the frame in several points to give it enough strength to not collapse in a roll. A rollover in a Golf Cart is going to hurt, DO NOT PUT YOUR HAND OUT AND TRY TO STOP IT! Luck was with me that I never rolled this one and I had the cage tied into the frame at 10 points.

There's a big difference between Fancy and Functional. Even the Grizzly cage needs to be mated to the frame in the front and that's close to 2 grand. A real roll cage most guys can't do - due to the fact it requires welding mounts to the original frame. Then you'll need to make body panels so it can be worked on cause the body won't flip anymore. Now there is some real nice roof supports that look cool and will hold the roof better then stock.

What they are saying about "a real roll bar" vs one (like I have) like a Grizzly is very true.

I bot the Grizzly and installed it. However, I know it's not likely to support the weight in the event of a rollover. But.....I figure it may give me enough time to get outta the cart before I get rolled on. I mean.....a Grizz roll bar is much better than nothing....or the factory roof supports!!

That is one big dog lol, and nice rice rocket cart. If you make the main stand at back of seat pretty tough, that will help a bunch for roll overs. If you get the front dented in even, that will still keep you from going over or the cage crushing all the way. But a stock cart at 15mph or less even cheezy roof supports will keep it from rolling they just fall on their sides most of the time. Now if you are going fast or on the side of a mountain, well yes its going to take a lot more. Another problem is weight of the cage, that pipe can add up if you are not careful and that weight is up high. Also even in UTV you have to pad the bars and be careful you don't make it so you are hitting it with your head or arms all the time.
